The popular perception is that creativity is just for writers, artists, scientists and advertising people. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is equally important for managers, professionals, entrepreneurs and all those who wish to excel in their given fields. In fact, creativity is the only edge you can have over others in today's competitive world.
Normal growth and steady improvement are no longer good enough. Applying tried and trusted techniques in today's business scenario is a sure recipe for mediocrity. To rise above the clutter and be successful in the real sense, there is no option but to generate and implement new ideas continuously.

Shalu, 9 years in the corporate fast lane across 6 countries, 4 industries and 2 multinational companies were an exciting playfield of creativity where he let loose his out-of-the-box ideas and spearheaded many a business breakthrough. His creativity in finding workable solutions to intractable business problems earned him the sobriquet 'ideas man' wherever he worked.
Shalu became the youngest ever regional head at NIIT in 2003 (at age 26) heading a team of 150 and also the youngest ever Country Manager at Polaroid in 2005 (at age 28) heading operations for ASEAN and India. He is now seriously considering to dye his sideburns grey to come across as a mature creativity trainer, his boyish looks notwithstanding. He runs the wildly popular blog - www.tickledbylife.com and teaches marketing to MBA students at select Singapore B-Schools.
Shalu also conceptualized and ran successful joint promotional campaigns with some of the biggest brands in the world including Microsoft, Coca Cola, Reebok, Intel and Samsung, thus stretching the marketing dollar for his company. One of the sales promotion campaigns also won the best promotion award at the India Promo Power Awards(2002-2003), competing against 450 other entries.
