"Unmanaged conflict is the largest reducible cost in organizations today and the least recognized." - Dan Dana (quoted 1988)

Conflict is no stranger to any of us. We face conflicts in our personal lives – with our families and friends and increasingly also in our professional lives. As the world is fast shrinking into a Global Village, organizations typically have teams comprising of employees from different geographical locations, diverse cultural and cognitive backgrounds with varied outlooks. In a place where individuals have different perspectives towards the same issues, there are bound to be disagreements and hence conflicts.

The Impact of Conflict in the Workplace: Based on employee surveys and statistics, over 70% of employees said that they have avoided other co-workers, 20% have pretended to be sick or missed meetings, and up to 15% left their organization due to conflict at workplace. The aim of the workshop is not to prevent staff disagreements, but rather to resolve and manage conflicts effectively, so that managers are not to get bogged down with arguments, disagreements and tensions that disrupt their lives and hence lower business productivity and instead focus on achieving business goals.

Course Objectives - Practical & Professional Knowledge

By the end of the workshop, participants will learn the different types of conflicts that can occur in a workplace and the various ways they can be resolved effectively. They will also understand the importance of active listening and maintaining a cool temperament in mediating a conflict
  • Importance of Conflict Resolution
  • Learning how to Manage and Resolve Conflicts successfully
