The Art of War Boardroom
Quarterly update of changing landscape

The Art of War Boardroom is a special quarterly session to update on evolving global events. The key objective is to illustrate how Art of War may be applied to developing insights from major happenings around the world. What is especially unique about the Art of War Boardroom lies in its holistic approach rather than single disciplinary approach to thinking about emerging trends and future development.

Participants at the time of registration may propose a topic for discussion.

Whilst the session is intended for top management, young managers keen on learning how to view the world through the lenses of Art of War are most welcomed to attend. For those with MBA, the session is of a very different kind. Art of War encourages a multi-disciplinary, strategic approach to the management of business issues.

The speaker, Dr Foo Check Teck shall set up the agenda, provide Art of War insights and then create the right atmosphere for open discussion. He will facilitate a rich exchange of ideas in exploring multiple perspecetives to strategic issues.

Key Topics:

  • Implications for Management: Geely takeover of Volvo – Beginning or an end? Death of Swedish engineering?
  • Future of Global Currency: Euros, US dollars and Yuan—Is West in the decline?
  • Crashes and Aircraft Crashes: Any similarity in pattern?
  • Strategy: Chinese Takeovers – Any Japanese Takeaways?
  • Can Gerald Celentse be wrong?
