Implementing change is often a challenge for any organization, even when the change is for the good. When changes come as a surprise, bringing difficult problems with them, managing the change process can become a nightmare.
This One Day workshop on Managing Organizational Change is conducted by Professor Lise Saari (PhD in Organizational Psychology). The aim is to equip key managers with the skills set of and strategies to assist them and their teams through organizational changes and development, to ensure the survival of the team in these challenging situation.
This one day workshop will provide leading-edge information on effective, people-focused organization change strategies – known as the field of organization development. Practical examples and first-hand insights from successful organization development initiatives at companies such as IBM, Boeing Airplane Company, and Ford Motor Company will be shared.

The emphasis throughout this workshop will be on the practice of organization development to help organizations change. The workshop will provide an overview of the major organization development approaches, as well as the latest methods used by companies that are successfully transforming. It also will enable participants to become more informed decision makers regarding change methods that may be proposed for their organization.

Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Organizational/Social Psychology
Dr. Saari is a Full Adjunct Professor at Baruch College and New York University (NYU). Professor Lise Saari has three decades experience as an expert helping companies apply organization development strategies to transform and improve. Her significant work experience includes Director, Global Workforce Research at IBM, Senior Manager People Research at Boeing Airplane Co., and Research Scientist at Battelle Research Institute. She teaches graduate courses in Organization Development, Job Satisfaction, Personality and Organizational Behavior, and Group Processes in Organizations. Dr. Saari also has taught at Richmond International University in London. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Organizational/Social Psychology, has over 100 professional publications and presentations, is a Fellow in the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology and The American Psychological Association, and serves on multiple editorial and professional boards.
Dr Saari is also editor of SIOP’s evidence-based research series and is an elected member of the SIOP Executive Board.
