Speaker's Profile:

Professor Dr FOO Check Teck, a polymath (Renaissance Man, Straits Times) is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Management Studies, Emerald and since 2004, Honorary Chair, School of Management, the University of St Andrews, UK. He is on US History Channel Art of War TV as expert. Recently he led APO Study Meeting in Taipiei on post-Global Crisis Business Development Strategies and is the APO Chief Expert for service sector productivity. He is Founder and Chairman of the world’s first Sun Tzu Art of War Institute, organizer for 1st Global Chinese Management Studies Conference, August 10th to 12th, 2011.

Now, for the first time in Singapore, the Sun Tzu Art of War Institute launches this Managerial I Ching Workshop. This workshop is innovatively developed by Dr Foo Check Teck through extensive study of textual references. He also traveled to original sources of these ideas, such as the Fu Xi Temple in Tian-shui city, right in the heart of China.

Besides textual studies and field research, Professor Dr FOO Check Teck had personally experimented with direct consultations with the Book of Changes. He had found the hexagrams to yield very useful and deep insights. Following his positive findings, he now plans to share his insights with a small group of CEOs and managers.

Sun Tzu Art of War for CEO


The Art of War CEO program is designed to coach the top management in strategic thinking with the art of war principles. This program also facilitates the sparring and learning of strategic thinking from one another, in depth discussion of global and local development, developing macro and micro economic indicators for strategic decisions.Besides the extensive Western literature on managing change, the philosophy of Sun Tzu was long studied and documented in ancient China: Art of War. In the text are ideas that are more than 2,000 years old wisdom derived from deep study of principle of military strategy . Despite its antiquity however, few professors of leadership emphasize this very ancient Chinese text.

The Art of War 兵法is written by Sun Tzu himself a general and strategist for strategists, to sharpen the mind and acumen of business leaders.
